Jake Or Jeremy

June 21, 2008 · 2 Comments

Get this! So I just returned from a trip to Nashville where I had a few comments directed towards me that really made me take a hard look at myself and re-evaluate my entire existence. No Kidding here!…The first comment came from some skanky busted up 35 year old stripper outside a seedy strip club in downtown who walked by me and dropped this:
“You look like a young Ron Jeremy!”
A young Ron Jeremy? Are you serious? My first thought was to take a swing at the chick but after she spent the next 10 minutes trying to convince me that it was the greatest of compliments, i actually started to believe her.

Less than 24 hours later, i kid you not. I had a fellow walk up to me in the hotel bar and ask if I was
“the twin brother of singer Jake Owen.”
. I told him that i wasn’t and he insisted that i was a dead ringer for the singers twin. Not knowing who this Jake owen was, i went up to my room and looked him up on the internet..dreading what this fellow looked like after getting the Ron Jeremy bomb earlier in the day. But to my surprise, the dude looks like some kinda superman from a Jeep commercial

So after giving it some long thought. and falling into a deep 2 day identity crisis and wondering how the world really perceives me. Not to mention the intense stewing over the fact that someone actaullly said i looked like Ron Jeremy. Im going with the skank. No offense to Jake, he a good lookin cat, im sure he’s a nice guy and im sure he has great songs…but Jeremy? I gotta go with Jeremy!!! Awesome!!!!!!!

So the question is..what is the best, “You look like” comment you’ve ever received??

Lucky Encounter

June 3, 2008 · 1 Comment

I had a once in a lifetime sighting this weekend when i came across CabanaSquatch, the long lost relative of Bigfoot. The encounter took place on saturday afternoon poolside at the Hyatt in San Diego. I noticed the creature gliding through my cabana as i slept on the chair outside. I was lucky enough to wake up and snap this photo that you see which is very similar to the famous picture taken by Roger Patterson in 1967. I consider this a rare and lucky sighting, i never felt i was in any danger but this incident will be reported.

If you see a Bigfoot or a Cabanasquatch, it is very important that it gets reported. You can report a sighting here at http://www.bigfootencounters.com/

Binary Taco

May 30, 2008 · 1 Comment

So I sat down last night to enjoy some mexican food that i picked up and to my surprise, when i opened the wrapper i realized that this was no ordinary ground beef taco…I just got a Binary Taco. So after playing around with a few different combinations on how to eat this unusual taco, i realized that if i ate it in rectangles of fifths, it would take me no more than 32 bites to finish this puppy up. So I found this lady on craigslist who had 45 bottles of Cholula hot sauce and she said “Get on over here”. So I took a Binary driving pattern thru streets up to this lady’s house in the valley and she totally hooked me up.
When i got home..I dropped a few bottles of hot sauce on my BinaryTaco and guess what. Perfect!!!
This was the best Memorial Day dinner ever. I loved that Binary Taco

This is Music

Well! After God knows how many years, my favorite band on earth finally got back together and came out to Las Vegas and played a show at The Palms. I didn’t know what to expect from them as its been such a long rough road for this band. But when it was all said and done..this was one of the best shows that I’ve EVER seen.

Below is the setlist from the evening. I couldn’t have put together a better one myself…..an amazing set. Photos courtesy of Gonzo.

A Good Cause

Just to let everyone know. Corinne will be running in the San Diego Marathon in celebration of Kelsey Burke on June 1st. Here is a note from her regarding the run and a link to donate if you would like.

I’m well on my way to the June 1, 2008 San Diego Rock N’ Roll Marathon. I’ve been training hard and I’ve been focused on honoring the inspiration of my run, my 15-year old niece, Kelsey Burke. She is a Leukemia survivor and the strongest and bravest person I’ve ever met. What better way to honor her triumph over this terrible illness than with a 26.2 mile triumph of the human spirit?!Part of my commitment includes a $2400 fundraising pledge to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Members of Team In Training have raised millions for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in its fight against leukemia, Hodgkin’s Disease, lymphoma, and myeloma and I would like to help all of us get involved. My training will be tough, but nowhere near as tough as the doctors’ visits, the months of chemotherapy and radiation, and the endless pokings, proddings and needle stickings that Kelsey has endured. It will also be nothing compared to the treatments that thousands of Leukemia patients go through every day.I’m in for a long run, but theirs is even longer. Every bit you are able to contribute will help me meet my goal of raising $2800 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and it will also help to give children like Kelsey the healthy life you and I take for granted.

Here’s how to DONATE . . .

Visit my Team in Training site at http://www.active.com/donate/tntgla/tntglaCCaggia

Please be sure to give by April 1st to help me meet my pledge to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! Here’s some GOOD NEWS . . .75% of my pledged fundraising amount of $2400 goes directly to researchAll donations are 100% tax deductible, the Leukemia & Lymphoma’s tax ID is 13-5644916If you donate $250 or more, you’re entitled to a FREE nights stay at Casa Descanso, our 1936 Spanish-style, luxury, 3-debroom casita located right outside of beautiful Palm Springs, California!!
